What a difference color makes!

I am nearly done with the next stump doll. I want to send two versions off as samples - so folks can see what can be done with one pattern. Plus it will help the students decide what they want to do. This one has a body made of batik - all one material - except for the flesh shoulder/neck area. Lots more embellishing to do still. Not to mention face and hair. Oh, don't ask what's stuck on her head -

WOW, what a difference. She's just as beautiful as the last one, though. Okay, I can't resist a prompt....what's on her head????

LOL! Good for Gerry! It saved ME having to ask the thing you said not to ask. (You GO, Gerry!) Seriously, she's really COOL! I can't decide which I like more. Equal, I think. But I doooooo like the 'flounce' of this one's skirt! Gives her a fun, flirty, Island sort of look & feel! Beautiful job as always! Lucky students! Will this one be a pattern for sale?

Good idea to give the students two examples, Judi. I love them both (except for that headdress).....LOL!! I'm anxious to see how you'll complete her embellishment!

She is a great embellishment doll...and wonderful in color as well as black and white.
Well, your site says I have submitted too much in too short a time. So I am fooling it by using my other email address...hope it works

I really like the bright colors of this version! I bet your students will be super excited to see what they'll be making. :-)

Wow she is so colourful. I think it is a great idea. It is such a contrast to black and white which will certainly make the students go into creative spin. Great way of showing them what can be done.

Ooops- I just left a coment but something went wrong and it didn't get thru. So I will try again-LOL!

I love the colors you used for this one and she is going to be just as gorgeous as the black and white one. I think this will be a fun pattern for everyone.

What yummy colors! Oh, and is that RUCHING around the hem?? I had forgotten about that -- what a PERFECT touch. I can't wait to see what your students do with this pattern. It's so versatile.

Judi---

This design is TERRIFIC!!! Love it!!!
Both the black and white version and the colorful version are equally appealing to the eye.

I look forward to seeing pictures of your students' dolls...

Judy, these are wonderful. It's amazing how fabric choices can make such a difference. Love seeing these types of comparisons. This should be a wonderful class--lots of inspiration for the students.
