Snail pincushion

No wonder it has been slow going! I've been working on a snail! Okay - go ahead and groan.

This is from an upcoming pattern by Jacque Uetz and will be offered through Dollmaker's Journey and ClothDollPatterns soon. I'm just thrilled with how she turned out. Jacque uses molds for her patterns but you know me - I hate clay! So instead I covered a button with stuffing and fabric and drew a face on.

I love being right, LOL! I don't think I remember seeing a closed-eye face from you before. Very pretty! She looks like she is having a very pleasant daydream... I'm glad you showed in-progress photos, because now I can see how it is put together.

Never in a million YEARS thought I'd say a SNAIL is beautiful, but THIS one is! Wonderful job, gorgeous fabrics, and LOVE THAT FACE! You did a great job, Jude. And Jacque has a WINNING PATTERN HERE!
