
I used the head I posted about in a recent entry on a Northern Mermaid. Hadn't made one of these in a while. I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. I love how the fur around her head looks so spikey. I am pretty lucky to have a hat box full of fur scraps that I got from an old trapper's wife. He was a fixture in Fairbanks, ran a fur buying business out of a hotel room each spring. His wife would make hats and mittens. He passed on a couple of years ago. It was like the end of an era. Anyhow, here she is:
