I have sewn another torso and I am much happier with her now. I used a nice batik that had a much higher thread count than the previous fabric so there wasn't as much stretch. I triple-checked to make sure the slight stretch was going lengthwise. I did not use my freezer paper pattern either - I drew around the original pattern template. So, all in all this made a big difference in the shape, as you can see. I had to take her corset in about half an inch at center back - it looks great now.
I loved the cheerful yellow of the first torso, but that purple is simply gorgeous! To use the new "in" word in teen-speak, Delicious!! (Plus, it looks as if you are on your way to rebuilding your stash of extra body parts to boot.) She's looking good.

I'm GLAD you showed them side by side 'cause I wouldn't have noticed the difference otherwise. (Hey! I'm a PLUS-SIZED old gal - I NEVER notice a few extra bulges! LOL!) But it's a learning experience to me as a sewing novice to understand the difference stuffing materials or fabric can make. Thanks! Not only are BOTH of them pretty & colorful, I gained some helpful info.

But I *try* to make fat bodies... so maybe I need to use more of my cheaper fabrics!
