I'm working on three more of the Christmas Ornaments that Jacque Uetz wrote up in Doll Crafter magazine. This one is mainly purple/blue/green. I used some awesome glittery silk flowers for the bodice and all the way down the front. I will use the leaves to make wings with. Still needs a face and hair .. I'll probably do all the faces at once.

Here are the next two ... one is burgandy and gold and I think it will be really pretty when it's done. The other is brown/gold and I used so much eyelash that I think she is going to do the flamenco!! Big sleeves!!!

These dolls are the cutest! Oh, and hi! *waves* I'm a long-time lurker on your blog. I simply adore your work! (And your ATCs. I got into trading them after seeing your gorgeous cards.)
Anyways, I can't wait to see them all finished!
Posted by: Cindi at November 19, 2006 1:15 AMOh goodie your info section is working again so I don't have to type it out again and again.
These are lovely and can't wait to see them finished.
You've got these ornaments down to a science! I love doing things this way - in multiples. They're all going to be beautiful! You KNOW I like the 'Flamenco' one! Jan & I both love all things even slightly 'gypsy-ish'!
Posted by: Kai at November 19, 2006 2:27 AMI keep meaning to look up this pattern -- those are just such lively little creations! I'm still trying to imagine drilling TWO holes in a domino. One was plenty for me, LOL! The jingly bell ones are my favorites.

Posted by: Jacque at November 21, 2006 4:44 PMJudi, I really enjoy your blog and was really inspired ty your Ornament Dolls using Jacque's pattern. Which issue of Doll Crafter is her pattern in? The book sellers in this small community (Petoskey) don't carry Doll Crafters and I will see if Barnes and Noble or Borders in Traverse City carry that issue. How long and wide are the ornaments? I'll keep trying to track down the pattern. I am inspired to make some using some metallic ginko leaves given to me by a friend. Anne
