Meet Bob and Suesan ...


Plush toy softie Suesan I went and paid for a table at a craft show that will be held on Thanksgiving weekend. I am going to try to sell the plushies and maybe some Northern Mermaids. I"m sharing the table with my daughter's best friend who makes beaded necklaces. We got the last space along the upstairs wall so we can actually put a second table in our space - make it kind of an L. I'm not thrilled with being upstairs but I waited too long to sign up. Hopefully next year I'll be on the mailing list so I'll know about it earlier. I finished up a few plushies today and I have two that need faces. I couldn't get a face I liked for them today. Who would have thought I'd have trouble with plushie faces!!!!

Anyhow - up there on the left is Suesan. Thought I'd make a 'cutesy' plushie ...plus I wanted to try sewing felt on for hair. I lost too much to the seam allowance - next time I'll have to leave more on the face. But I like it. Over to the right is Bob, another killer bee. Bob was born with his stripes going the wrong way and he's been confused ever since. Poor guy. Bob is the last of his line. The killer bees have died out with him. Too hard to stuff well.

They are so funny they are cute!
A hint for the craft show that might help you sell. If you have your magazine with your doll on the cover have it somewhere in sight with a sign not for sale of course. If they see you are published it may make them want what you got. A thought any way.

They are very cute and you bet they will sell like hot cakes. Its the sort of thing that appeals to the young and the old The young see the colourful and cuddly side of things and the grownups will love the humour of it.

OH they are so darling...I hope they do well at the show...I know they will be a hit...they make me giggle each and everyone and now isn't susan a cutie

I love her!! She is so cute.. I swear if I ever get done with my "have to do" items, I am going to try one. Perhaps I will just have to do a "time out" with the "have to do"'s and make one anyway :-)

About the show - I like Sandra's ideas, and are you going to put the plushie's "story" with the doll? I bet that would be an added draw to the dolls. Good luck!

I like Sandra's and Courtney's ideas. I was gonna say the same think :-) The only thing with putting out your magazine is that someone might steal it while you're not looking! So, if you do put it out for people to see, make sure you they can't walk away with it.

These will be such a hit! And three cheers for both Sandra's AND Court's ideas! Good ones! I keep THINKING about trying these, but you KNOW how sicko my thought process is. I have some seriously CRAZY ideas! Maybe I'd better leave the Plushie-making to you!
