So there's this box of stuff getting passed from person to person in my doll club and I got stuck with it tonight. It got left at Kris's house this summer when we had our altered pin doll workshop and I think we're supposed to use it as a door prize or something. Anyhow, I was going through it and I found this thing that is just screaming to be altered into an art doll. But what the heck is it? If you know please leave me a comment.

Hello Judy,
Your "object de Art" is a cherry pitter. take a single cherry and place it on the bottom loop of metal. place your index finger and middle fingers into the loops that look like the shoulders and your thumb into the top loop. Press the top loop down through the cherry and it will push out the seed leaving a hole. Viola, no pits in the cherry pie!
Yeah, it surely is a cherry pitter! (Hey, I watch Martha Stewart! LOL!) But it DOES look like a PERFECT doll armature! Of course, it ALSO looks like something that sicko mother from the old movie Sybil (remember THAT?) used to torture 'little' Sybil. No, wait - THAT was a button hook. See? I can be macabre too! Bwahahahaha!

By the way Judi your sponge painting is great. Reminds me of posters of the cinema heroins in 1930s and 40s because it gives an impression of black and white.
I thought it was an umbrella holder for doll umbrellas
