Well, he’s already here actually. Got in today. I must say I was pretty excited to see him, I’d been waiting patiently. I think he’s going to be my new muse. .
Introducing Madison Wabash Bean. He is designed by Chris Chomick and Peter Meder, a professional doll artist/ husband and wife team and was made by the Robert Tonner Doll Co. I love their work even though I've only ever seen it in the Susanna Oroyan’s book series. Madison has a bean bag type body, resin hands, feet, and head, and a blush type brush for hair! He was a souvenir doll from the 2000 NIADA conference so he was a limited edition. He has been living in his box for 6 years now and, boy, is he ever glad to be out of there! I was lucky enough to win him on an eBay auction, mint, new-in-box. Don’t tell my husband though.
... ("wow" just seems so pitifully inadequate!) is he available for visitation, LOL?? Fabulous, fantastic. Lucky LUCKY you!
p.s. My lips are sealed. :-)

Posted by: Barb Spencer at April 26, 2006 6:23 AMI also have the doll from 2000. If you know of someone who would like to purchase the doll please let me know. My doll is also mint in box.
You were very lucky to win the doll.
What a hunk! I can really see what you mean about him becoming a Muse for you: he seems to have that same wicked sparkle in his eye that you do.....that "Hey-wait-till-you-see-what-I-do-next" gleam!! He is absolutely brilliant (and butter wouldn't melt in his mouth!!!)

P.S. Excellent photography, by the way.

Howdy, I know this is a late posting and I don't know if anyone will see this but WOW!!! I love when I run into other dolls artist or lovers of them. I feel the same when the little ones are finally released from their boxes to bring us Joy and Bliss. Unfortunately I must part with many of my little buds as I am back from a long healing journey and moving and do not have room for all of them. I would love to sell to the people who would love them as I have. My sister will be selling them on E-bay starting tonight with the same Madison Wabash Bean Doll, souvenir doll from the 2000 NIADA conference. I also have original Akira Blount, Barbara Willis, Jane Darin, elinor peace bailey (face only, I did body) and many more of my own starting in May. If you have questions you may e-mail me or go to my sisters URL above to see them. Appreciate your time. Cynthia
